How to Install and USE Mongo DB version 6.0 for Windows 11

Steps to install

1.) Download mongo db community edition (.msi) from here.

2.) During Installation keep everything default and also install MongoDB Compass.

3.)Add this to your PATH in environment variable

C:\Program Files\MongoDB\Server\6.0\bin

4.) Now you have to download and install MongoDB Shell from here.

5.) Change the folder location to C:\mongosh-1.9.1-win-32

6.) Add this to your path variable

C:\mongosh-1.9.1-win32-x64\mongosh-1.9.1-win32-x64\bin

7.) Now open your Command prompt and check if it has install or not

Type this given command : mongod.exe --version

if something like above is displayed then it has been installed successfully

8.) To run the server simply type

mongod in the cmd...

if the server does not start then simply to this....

Create a folder structure in your C drive like ---> C:\data\db

and run the cmd again

9.) Now your server has been started and now open MongoDB compass and click connect

Hurray!! Mongodb has been successfully installed on your windows PC.
