Google Drive , Docs , Sheets showing no internet connection|Uploading Problem|Unable to access document when connected to WiFi

 

I have been using google drive for years but till one day when i opened drive for uploading document it started showing me no internet connection even though i was connected to proper WiFi network.

Not only google drive but also google docs , sheets , slides i encountered the same problem.

I was unable to open any document which was already there in my drive but everything worked fine as before when i connected my android phone to an private hotspot network or over my own mobile data network.

Things i did it to fix this:  cleared apps cache memory , Reinstalled it , made several changes in apps settings and also formatted the phone(please don't do it)😭but still the problem exists.

After researching i found that the problem actually lies in my router's DNS setting but because of half knowledge i was not that confident to alter any changes to the router's setting.

So I found an another way to fix it :

Go to your saved WiFi network details> change IP settings to Static> change to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 which is the google's IP address.

By doing this my google drive and rest apps started working properly.

The problem got permanently fixed without making the above changes in WiFi setting when i changed my ISP (internet service provider) to another one but i won't suggest you to change your ISP instead ask your ISP to fix it.
